Rosies second surgery

Today Rosie went under the knife for the second time this week.

We were hoping she would not end up needing a second surgery, but it turns out she did :(
When they went inside, the found only 20% of her intestines were in good shape, 30% were in just okay shape, and the rest were bad :(  They took out as much as they could, but of course couldn't get out all of the bad.  They told us there was a lot of spots that were inflamed.  They are trying to fix all of that so it doesn't spread.

On the bright side, they told us she is looking better than she was, but she is still in critical condition.  Her survival chance is still up in the air.  The doctor once again talked to us kindly about the costs, but I don't think I could live with myself if we didn't do all that we could for her.

They are hoping to see improvement and stability by Monday, and if anyone reading this could send good vibes our way, I would appreciate it.  The doctor told us she was very snuggly before the surgery, which only makes me miss her more.  I can't believe this is all happening because of one piece of ribbon.

I asked about long-term side effects that these surgeries may have for her.  They told us that we will probably have to change her diet, and watch her bowels carefully to look for any loose, or bloody stool.  Since she has a lot less of her intestines, she will have more trouble digesting, so she will need a special diet.  Hopefully that will be the worst thing to come from all of this, and it is a very easy thing to comply with.

If you have a moment to hop on over here, and make a donation, or spread the word for it, we would be most appreciative.  Thank you.
